At the Segafredo Zanetti Coffee school it’s our mission to share our coffee knowledge and experience with as many people as possible. Our barista course is the first step for those looking to become a professional barista or if you want to learn how to make a cafe quality coffee at home. Our aim is simple, we want to bring out the best barista in you!

Our barista classes are purposely kept small for so that you will receive the maximum possible attention from us to maximise your learning potential. We also know that you want to spend more time on the machines practising so we ensure all our classes have unlimited coffee and milk!

The Coffee Beans

We’ll start off by teaching you about the different varieties of coffee beans and their origins. In this section you will learn how coffee is grown, harvested and roasted.

Different Brewing Methods & Systems

In this section of your barista course you will gain a better understanding of different brewing methods used to make coffee. We will also walk you through the different technical terms and systems used in the traditional commercial machines.

The Grinder

Conical or flat blade burr grinder. What’s the difference and why does it matter? We will teach you all there is to know about the different types of grinders and most importantly how to set one up like a pro. This section of the barista course will help you gain confidence in adjusting and maintaining a commercial style grinder for perfect coffee extraction.

The Coffee Machine

We will walk your through the various types of coffee machines, from domestic to commercial. Equipment will be available for students to get hands on experience operating different models of equipment.
